Togolese Journalist Kidnapped, Assaulted

Roland Yaovi Kodjo, a Togolese journalist, was kidnapped by armed men on September 5. The men, who claimed to be after a different individual with the same name, assaulted Kodjo before releasing him hours later.

Kodjo was taken from his home and held for several hours before being set free. The Committee to Protect Journalists is calling on Togolese authorities to investigate the incident and ensure journalists' safety.
