New TB vaccines set to debut in 2029 could save seven million lives and generate up to $135 billion in economic benefits for low-and middle-income countries by 2050, according to GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance. These vaccines are expected to help combat antimicrobial resistance and reduce the disease burden in affected regions. Immediate action is needed to ensure these vaccines are accessible in sufficient quantities to the countries most affected by TB.
