CMA CGM has launched a new dedicated rail service in Kenya, connecting the Port of Mombasa to the Nairobi-Embakasi Inland Container Depot. The service, which operates with 54 wagons and a capacity of 108 Twenty-foot Equivalent Units, runs one train per week and could see increased frequency and the addition of a return service in the future. This move strengthens CMA CGM's presence in East Africa and improves connections between Kenya's main maritime gateway and its inland markets.
