Rwanda recently passed Law No. 033/2026, which updates the legal framework governing the National Bank of Rwanda. This new law is part of an ongoing evolution that began in 1964, two years after the country's first Constitution. The law reflects a continuous process of adapting the central bank's legal structure to align with constitutional changes over the decades.

Rwandans are now focused on implementing the new law, which aims to strengthen the resilience of the national financial system. The response from the community has been one of commitment to moving forward with the necessary changes to ensure economic stability and growth. Originally reported by AllAfrica
